Blaster Buddies (Parent and Tot)  for 3-6 yr olds

This was such a success last year we can’t wait to run it again! Partnering with EPIC, Blaster Buddies is a one hour parent-tot session on Saturday mornings. Specifically for our littlest players (3 to 6 year olds - born 2011-2014) working with their parents, Blaster Buddies teaches some basic skills and physical literacy…and the kids learn something too! No prior soccer knowledge is required by either parent or child - just a willingness to participate and have fun.

The program costs $50, includes a youth t-shirt, and will run 8 weeks starting April 15.

U11 & U12: Lakehill does intend to field Gold teams in each of these age groups for both boys and girls for the 2017-18 season. However, due to the significant amount of time between now and the start of next season, and the physiological and technical changes that can occur in an individual over that lengthy period, the technical staff has decided that assessments for these age groups will take place only in August, and final rosters will be completed then.

All remaining teams, including U14-U18 Gold teams, will be formed after assessments in August.

Lakehill Supports Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Lakehill is proud to support this great cause, not least because it is one Lakehill player supporting another - we hope that you are able to do the same.

Please support Scott as he moves his muscles to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Scott will be competing in the LA Marathon on March 19th, 2017 and will be raising funds and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy Canada directly supporting the Walk in Victoria. Scott is running for his friend, Geoff (both longtime Lakehill players), and he and 25,000 of his closest friends will be taking on the 42.1km course through the downtown L.A. core. Taking in the best sights including Dodger Stadium, Chinatown, Echo Park, Hollywood, Sunset Strip before arriving at the finish line at the Santa Monica Pier.
Donate to Scott's run here.
George K. needs help!
Another longtime member of the Victoria soccer community in need of help is the ageless goalkeeping coach George Konstantinov, better known as "George K". George has coached at just about every club around here that you can think of, including Lakehill, and is in need of help due to his health issues.
You can learn more about George's plight and donate here.

That just seemed like the appropriate heading for the conditions. For those who haven't looked outside or perhaps live in a bunker, see below - pretty much says it all. And with the forecast for more of the same (cold, white stuff) it's a pretty good bet that this will be the field status all this week. But check back here anyway...if this is one of the signs of the apocalypse, severe warming can't be far behind!
