Lakehill Soccer Player Registration

FALL REGISTRATION

Youth FALL/WINTER Season (starts in September and runs until approximately March 2017)

Please Note: All players must be registered at Lakehill soccer (or originating club - Lakehill or Gorge - for pooled VIPL teams) to attend U12-U18 assessments.

Please read the registration instructions below before you register online (for Senior team information consult the Lakehill Senior teams page)

Registration Basics

You can register one or more players at the same time (two or more players from the same family will receive a $30 family discount per child after the first). You must register all your children online at the same time to receive the family discount - use the "Add Registration" button on the form (after entering information for the first child) to add additional children and receive the sibling discount.

Fees can be paid online through Email Transfer, or with Visa or Mastercard (through PayPal). Lakehill Soccer also accepts payment by cheque (registration will not be confirmed until a cheque is received). Please mail to address below, or drop off cheques in person at the Braefoot Community Centre). Envelopes should be addressed to the Lakehill Registrar, and player names/registration numbers should be noted on the cheque. All NSF cheques will be charged a fee of $25. Cheques must be received prior to the early registration cut off date (June 30) to receive the early registration discount.

IMPORTANT: Registraton fees must be received before September 28.  In the event that registration fees are not received by this deadline, registrations be will cancelled and players will be required to reregister. Fees paid after September 28 may be subject to a late registration charge of $30.

The mailing address for Lakehill Soccer is:

Out-of-Boundary Players

Lower Island Soccer Association (LISA) requires Lakehill Soccer to charge all out-of-boundary players (all ages) an additional $25 transfer fee, determined by registered address of player. In addition, U13-U18 teams are restricted to three out-of-boundary players per team. If unsure, please refer to the Lakehill Soccer boundary map or consult the boundary map at Lower Island Soccer Association to confirm which club catchment you live in. Please ensure you correctly identify your transfer status in the section of the registration form entitled "Live in Lakehill Soccer Association District?" Addresses found to be out-of-boundary post-registration will result in the additional transfer fee being assessed. Lakehill Soccer is working actively to change this LISA policy. Any questions about transfer status or out-of-boundary restrictions should be directed to the Lower Island Soccer Association (Tel: 250-382-7489)

Assessments

All players must be registered to be assigned to a team or attend fall assessments (gold or VIPL teams, U12 to U18). Players trying out for pooled gold/VIPL teams must be registered at either Gorge or Lakehill (whichever is the club of origin). Players that are not registered are considered to be uninsured and will not be allowed to participate in assessments.

Volunteer Deposit

As a pilot project, Lakehill Soccer will NOT be collecting volunteer deposits this year. We still depend on volunteers to operate the club - volunteering is mandatory for every player/family. If volunteer jobs at the club are not completed, volunteer deposits will be reinstituted next season. We expect every family to volunteer at least 5 hours this season.

Uniforms and Uniform Deposit

Jerseys: Players U11 to U18 are required to pay $25 for their Lakehill jersey (this is in place of the uniform deposit of previous years) at the time of registration.  After the uniform is purchased, it may be worn in future seasons if it still fits, is in good condition and the same style. Players U5 to u10 are supplied new shirts to keep at no additional charge at the beginning of each season.

Shorts: Lakehill Soccer provides all youth players (U11 and up) with shorts. New shorts are also issued at no charge to players at U11, U13, U15 & U17. Seniors, and returning youth players at U12, U14, U16 & U18 who require new shorts will be required to pay for them.

Socks: All youth players are issued new socks annually.

Financial Aid/Kidsport Grants

In cases of financial difficulty, Kidsport Victoria may provide grants to cover fees (this does not include volunteer or uniform deposits). Kidsport applicants should complete the online registration process and select the "Pay by Cheque" option. Please include a comment in the Notes field that you will be applying to Kidsport for a grant. Kidsport grants do not automatically renew and must be aplied for annually. Visit Kidsport Victoria for details. In the event of a withdrawal, Kidsport grants are refunded directly back to Kidsport; never to the applicant.
