Submitted by President on Mon, 02/12/2018 - 18:14

As part of a joint initiative between the BC Soccer Association (BCSA) and the Lower Island Soccer Association (LISA) Al Moir, Referee Development Officer, BCSA and John Kilbank, Chair of the LISA Referee Development Committee, will be delivering Assistant Referee (A/R) training at St Margaret’s School on Sunday February 18th from 6-8pm. The session is free to all Lakehill referees and any other members who end up having to “run the line” at games. Referees, parents and players are all encouraged to attend. From 6-7:30 will be an indoor technical session, then we will move into the gym at the school for 30 mins of practical training.

At the conclusion of the training you will receive a multi page document that can be used for reference when having to perform A/R duties.

This is your opportunity to learn proper signal technique; positioning; and to gain a better understanding of the duties and responsibilities of an A/R as spelled out in the FIFA Laws of the Game.

Please note that attendance is highly encouraged for all Small Sided and Entry Level (youth) referees.

Please register / confirm your attendance by sending an email to: fields@lakehillsoccer.com

What to bring: notebook, pen; and flags (if you have them).
