Out of Bounds?

Do you really know when the ball is out of bounds? Most soccer fans (and some players!) are surprised by the picture to the left. Well here’s your chance to learn about this, and the other rules of the game. Not to mention you’ll learn how to run the lines! And Mini’s parents will be better prepared to help out on Saturday mornings at Braefoot.

Lakehill Referee Coordinator Al Moir will be delivering a course on running the lines this Sunday November 12th from 6-7:30pm. It will be held in the Junior School Building at St Margaret’s School which is located at 1080 Lucas Avenue (across the street from Lakehill School.) The course is free for all Lakehill members.

Anyone who is interested in learning how to run the lines, the real rules of the game, and what all those flag signals mean, is encouraged to attend. At the completion of the clinic you will better understand the duties and responsibilities of an A/R as spelled out in the FIFA Laws of the Game and will leave with a handout that you can refer to before assuming the role of Assistant Referee. This is your opportunity to learn the proper signal technique; positioning; and the roles and responsibilities of an assistant referee. Who knows – maybe you’ll find your next part time job!

Anyone interested in attending should contact Al by email to confirm their attendance.
